MEDICAL PATIENT PURCHASE LIMITS
Ohio provides different purchasing rules for registered medical cannabis patients and caregivers.
REGISTERED MEDICAL PATIENTS:
Unless further limited by their recommending physician, registered medical patients may purchase their medicine in bulk, up to:

This bulk-purchase allowance applies to registered medical patients, not caregivers, and is intended to allow patients to transport their medicine from the dispensary to their primary residence. Patients remain subject to their physician’s instructions and applicable 90-day medical cannabis limits.

These limits apply to adult-use products. Medical cannabis products are regulated separately. During Ohio’s transition to the new requirements, customers may notice changes in product availability, serving sizes or package sizes.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Are daily purchase limits and package limits the same thing?
No. Ohio establishes overall purchase limits as well as separate limits for individual product servings, potency and packages.
Are medical and adult-use limits the same?
No. Registered medical patients have different purchasing rules, and physician-specific restrictions may apply.
Can caregivers use the medical patient bulk-purchase limit?
No. The higher medical patient dispensing limit applies to registered patients. Caregivers are limited to 2.5 oz of plant material and 15,000 mg total THC in cannabis products.
